Dungeons and Dragons
Join us as we begin a heroic campaign in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. Take on the role of a fantasy hero as you explore ruins, fight monsters and come to the aid of a troubled community.
We will be using the latest (5th) edition of the Dungeons and Dragons rules. You do not need to have a copy of the rules, nor do I assume that anyone has read any of the rules before playing. You’ll be able to describe what you want your character to do, and I (as the GM) will explain any game mechanics or dice rolls that will affect the outcome.
You’ll be able to pick from a collection of ready made characters, but if you would like to create your own character you may.
You can download the basic rules for Dungeons and Dragons from the Wizard’s of The Cost website: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules Select the Players D&D Basic rules. The PDF download will contain everything that you need to create a first level character.
If you plan to create a character, you can assign 15,14,13,12,10 & 8 to your ability scores in any order (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma).
The basic rules allow for Humans, Dwarfs, Elves and Halflings who are either Clerics, Fighters, Rogues, or Wizards. Additional races and classes are available for those who have a copy of the D&D Player’s Handbook.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. You can either use the email Keith tab in the menu bar, or catch me at the karate school.
